Why you are not losing weight
Sometimes when you’re dieting, you don’t lose the weight you’re expecting. Here are eight reasons to why you are not losing weight. These are: identified by Glenn Mueller and Susan Burke from eDiets.com:
1. You might be eating too much
This often happens when you’re not weighting, measuring and noting down exactly what you’re eating.
2. You might have an unrealistic weight loss goal
Perhaps you’re not technically overweight or there are genuine medical problems preventing you from losing weight.
3. You might not be exercising enough
I think the reasons are obvious…
4. You might not have changed the amount of exercise you’re doing
Workouts get stale so quickly, as your body adapts to the same old routine.
5. You might be putting on muscle
If you are, this is a good thing! Muscle weighs more than fat, and you will notice that you’re losing inches instead
6. You might not be eating enough fruit and vegetables
They have a good detoxing and fat burning effect
7. You might not be drinking enough water
Water flushes out toxins and fat…. AND you sometimes don’t know the difference between hunger and thirst
8. There might be medical problems
You might have an underactive thyroid.
That’s a great list. I would also add:
You might be eating too many diet produtcts - they contain so many toxins and might actually prevent you from losing weight
You might be retaining water
