Weight Loss Via The Power Of Suggestion

Here’s an interesting report that I think you will enjoy: Recent studies have shown that you can use the power of suggestion to make people hate certain foods, and love other kinds of food. This could be great for losing weight without having to diet. Imagine, no more struggles with willpower, soon you will be able to hate the foods that you crave!

Reuters have reported that an experiment conducted by the University of California at Irvine, University of Washington and Kwantlen University College in Washington have shown that you can create a false memory about a childhood dislike of a certain food, and this will make the adult want to stay away from that particular food.

For example, they suggested to the 200 volunters that they got sick on strawberry ice cream as a child, and 40% of these volunteers lowered their preferences for strawberry ice cream in a later questionnaire.

I’m not entirely convinced that a 40% success rate is anything to write home about, but imagine being hynotised or suggested into no liking chocolate… Would life be worth living?
